Some more of the same crazy stuff
That kicks ass! Reminds me a bit of a band I was in a few years back. (This is also the same guitarist as on the Phish cover a few posts back)
From the other night.....this is the first time ever and I mean ever, I ever played Reggae, but I was getting into it. As always using headphones work best
Sounds like you have a good feel for it though.
The envelope filter is a highly unusual choice for the genre but it works really well with this riff, IMO. (I have heard Steel Pulse use filter on the bass, so it's not unheard of). Nice choice.
We were opening the evening, crowd kept a bit distance but got warmer with every song we played. But this way we could change from the stage to the bar and still enjoy the party, hehe!
One of our new songs, now with keys: „The Spirit of the SiKS“! Classic Rock!
We got to messing around with a riff on Wed night that I really liked. So added a few parts to it.
I think if we saturate it with some heavy guitar wah, it could be cool....check it out
I like that Entwistle technique Cool riff!!
That was my favourite vid of yours up to now. I think you sound tighter and more musical now that you 're playing more regularly. I see this happen all the time.
Thanks Yanni.....yeah these guys are breaking me of my habit of playing everything as fast as I can
They really want that grove / funk kinda thing, and so far I seem to be doing okay with it
Hopefully one day we'll record on some good equipment
Our Funk band is now on the prowl for a singer...here are some samples were going to use as bait
If you listen, listen with headphones
I think this is coming around pretty good
Thanks Hardy!.....it's just that cheap little Baseball's Envelope Filter I got for $40.00 used
I love that thing, it just seems to work perfectly for what we're doing
One thing I like about it also, it has just one knob, so me not being a big effects guy, I have no problem dialing it in.....easy peazy
I‘m also not an effects guy, testing them at home but none made it in the band sound so far.
Yeah, I'm the same way....I like to goof around with them at home, but in a band setting I've never had much use for em'.......until now
Here's a live recording of Uneven Steven from 2014 (same gig as the Phish cover a few pages back) doing an original song called "The Hipster". Keys and guitar both take some burning solos on this one.

Not sure if I have posted this again, I just listened to this after something like 3 years. It was a bit surreal an experience to watch and listen after all this time. The pictures are from our 4 years in that place we used to gig every Saturday. There's Greek lyrics (2 singers) and a long guitar solo involved. It's probably one of the best moments of our guitarist, both as a solo composition, and tone/playing. It has a story telling quality, something I dig in music. Takes you from somewhere to somewhere else. It's true what they say that you hate your recorded stuff right after you record it, but when you distance yourself from it after a while, it sounds good, as if another person is playing and not you. Hope you enjoy.
This song was completely written by our former guitar guy. Because there are at least 4 guitars needed to play all mayor lines we never performed it live. So after two years I also have this „Was that me playing it?“ feeling. But it‘s a great tune and I‘m happy we have it on the last album.
