Does someone now what the drop in replacement Duncan (or other brand) pickups are for the streamer jazzman 5 string?
I have the right dimensions, but the pickup poles don't line up with the strings in the neck pickup, and the musicman pickup has unadjustable radiused pole pieces, so the A is way too loud.
I read up on talkbass and here, and still failed miserably, would appreciate some help.
Those two pickups are Duncan, and passive (have an active OBP3).
    Cheers

The magnetic force of the pickup should run smoothly across all the pole pieces in a nice and even field so the A string being overly loud is odd.

My four string Ric has a six pole pickup and none such problems (Yes Ric slapped overwound guitar pickups on their basses in the past).

My guess is something else is wrong and its not the spacing of the pole pieces. I could be wrong but meh. Have you tried lowering/raising the pickup? How does it sound acoustically?
