This Streamer (no. 99 actually...can be seen clearly on the back of the headstock) has undergone a "rebirth". I like my instruments as I like my women...naked :)).

Reviving an old thread... I own #149. Didn't know what I had until doing some research today and coming across this post. Bought this on eBay in '01 or '02 and thought I might have overpaid but turns out that I just about stole it. Though it wasn't maintained great and as you can see, a previous owner swapped out the tuners at one point leaving some holes. But the originals are back on and as far as I can tell, everything else is original also. (Hopefully the image links work!)

You need to use an image hosting service like tinypic so we can admire this fine instrument through a pic or two. Welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the warm welcome! This should work better, although they are likely all rotated. Apparently posting pics isn't my strength!

Special thingy you have there. The tuners at the original position are almost anti-ergonomic. :)

If I owned that bass there would be some restoration/freshening up for sure.

I just did some freshening on a neglected 25-yr old Ibanez guitar, including installing new pickups, which was my first ever instrument restoration project, so it looks like it's time to learn some more and make this my 2nd. :)

Light sandpaper works wonders, then you can apply a finish of some kind. There's one difficult sanding area in your case: the neck joint that is neck through. For the headstock you can have a look here:
