    Wow Licensed by Spector even.
    This one is probably from before the Spector brand was bought by Kramer in 1985.

    Can someone enlighten me on this Spector/Warwick relationship in the mid-eighties? I keep reading about it, but have yet to read the full story.

    Gossip,says: HPW copied the design without the knowledge of spector, when confronted by Stu Spector at Musikmesse HPW agreed to pay license fees, thus the licensed
    by spector on 85 streamers. In early 86 they changed the headstock and therefore the licensed by spector disappeared.

    Spector basses were very popular at that time, but they were very hard to get in Europe.
    Hans Thomann (of Thomann.de) asked Hans Peter to build them. Warwick paid license for a while, until the basses were different enough to be considered different beasts.
