Choices choices choices. Darkglass is back on the Fuzz side of things within my chain.
It sounds REALLY tight combined with the MXR octaver.

Said goodbye to the Redwitch Zeus, which broke down on me. No more Red Witch pedals for this guy.
The current board has ZERO humming or hissing going on. #AWESOMES

    Tight board, amigo Marco.

My brother has been rocking a Red Witch fuzz for 3 or 4 years and he's VERY happy with it. Maybe yours had faulty truss-rod. ;)

The size of my board was created for holding 8 regular sized pedals and being about as large as a 15.6" laptop computer. I carry it around in a backpack designed for laptops. Now that I also have the Darkglass amp (which has about the same size as a mobile projector) I ordered this trolley to drag my stuff around in. It only cost 49 euro! Screw flightcases!

This board does NOT fit in the trolley.

I guess you can guess this means I am using the Darkglass amp with this setup, which is aimed for modern tone with the Zon basses.
Signal chain: Instrument -> wah pedal -> compressor -> tuner -> octaver -> fuzz -> delay -> 10 band EQ -> amp (which has overdrive effects).
Again the EQ is used to cut 12db at 31.25hz and boost a little between 62 and 125hz, then cut some of that honkyness between 250 and 500hz.

You might notice there's more pedals on the board then there are power outputs on the ISO5 powersupply. Duality and Bass Octave Deluxe share one 9v 100ma output, so do the Bass Wowie Wah and Korg Pitchblack. Cali76cb has its own isolated 9v 100ma and the digital Nemesis Delay gobs up 400ma of 9v glory. The ten band EQ runs on 18v.

Rig+fx sounds VERY tight with this, totally unfit for oldskool sounds, for which I just bring the Mesa amp and a Ric instead of this.

Haven't posted on here for ages. No Warwick basses right now unfortunately but still smashing people with my Quad VI. Awesome sleeper amp.
    Here's my board.
Line 6 - tuner - Wah - EBS Billy Sheehan (with Joyo UD in the clean loop) - Boss EQ - MB Superbooster. The EBS is always on and provides mild overdrive, a bit of that Pearce preamp flavour and compression. The UD is run in the clean channel of the EBS for distorted tones (which also gets compressed by the EBS).
The EQ is always on and I use the Superbooster as a low pass filter at around 4-5khz plus DI.
Still to add one day - a variable high pass filter, an octave down effect and maybe a chorus.

Be warned! This pedal is evul! First test run at home at low volume. But the frequencies of D string and G string are that cutting, that my ears are still ringing. Have a look at the pics. The signal is looped through the Billy Sheehan pedal, clean section. Means the sound of both pedals is added. That now is King Evul of Terrorsound! BUT: the Billy Sheehan pedal lets the clean signal through. So there now is bottom end too! The result is a tone which would be perfect for the anthem of hell!

Mel9 for Radiohead song, Zeus (still malfunctioning sometimes but it sounds a lot better then the Darkglass fuzz) and Whammy for Radiohead and Muse songs. Whammy also for Pearl Jam's " Jeremy" as it can mimic an 8 or 12 string bass excellently. Pigtronix BEP for Muse songs. Alpha Omega for Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam and Marilyn Manson songs. This board covers all the covers.

The Nemesis delay is on there currently just to fill an empty spot, But I might use it in the future for Pink Floyd's "One of These Days".

The Duality Fuzz is an awesome pedal, but very tight and modern kind of fuzz. This is great for that dry scratchy Muse type of tone and prog metal stuff, but I also need a raunchy and phat kind of fuzz. The Zeus offers this. I still have the Duality as well but it is currently off the board as I am trying to fit one fuzz into the different songs. If this doesn't work it means the board will grow and have multiple fuzzes, octavers and overdrives again. As such a board will be gigantic I'd rather first try this current layout...

I'm a big user of effects. My main band is keys/bass/drums, and effects really help me fill out the sound and make up for the lack of guitar.

This is my current board. The Radial Bassbone allows me to use an 8-string (octave courses) bass on a few tunes. The LS-2 has the entire front row in loop A, and just the chorus pedal in loop B. The phaser and compressor come after the LS-2.

You can probably tell what most of them are by the picture. The red one is a Big Game Bedlam overdrive, which is based heavily on the Fulltone OCD, but retains lows better. The Stomp Under Foot Civil Unrest is a Muff clone, with a mid knob, which really helps it to work in the mix better.

I really think the Boss PH-3 is a hugely underrated phaser. The 10-stage mode is killer on bass.

Wow no guitarist. Just like Rare Bird used to! If you put an octave up and overdrive in a parallel loop you can mimic a guitarist in some parts while retaining a clean bass tone underneath.

As you can tell by this threat, I am a bigtime fx user too.

    Love your board!
