The conversations I had with Marek convinced me to buy, and the clips convinced me to discuss.
I had price requests going with various manufacturers, but the price factor was really un favor of Stradi.
Warwick was my first wish, but I really can’t afford one, even with a 50% discount.
And I really fell in love with that cello shape.

So, Marek ended the Holy Grail Guitar Show in Berlin, so it's my turn to get the attention and the build.

I've pined away to try out the stone-topped bass. Quality craftsmanship there!

Yeah, the stone top almost got me. But I have a special request for the top, it's the essence of the bass' concept, and it couldn't be made with the stone.

Just carved, about to get sanded.

I let y'all spot the detail that make it very special and give the meaning to the concept.

Incredible! That is one beautiful bass already. Is that a big chunk of resin in the lower bout on the left side? I can't wait to see the end result.

It is a big chunk of transparent resin, yes, to fill the hole. And let see the red veneer that is between the carved burled top and the light oak back. :)
You can also see it on the top "horn", where it touches the Fretboard.

That should look awesome when finished. Gloss or Satin?

It'll be a satin finish. Gloss don't do it for me, this thing is a beauty, but I want it to be gig-able. If I could have had a relic'd finish, I would have taken it.

I guess the builder has a DO IT YOURSELF mentality about relic-ing. :)

I can't blame the builder for not wanting to relic this. :)
